rude rapidpg driver

this is a complaint regarding one driver of the Rapidpg bus in penang. he was driving the MPPP Free CAT bus PHH4052 at about 1230 - 100 pm, on Tuesday, 14 June 2011.

Throughout the journey, he braked suddenly a couple of times, and, at one time, caused an old lady to fall off her seat and onto the floor. When her family member exclaimed, the driver shouted at them in a loud voice, "Kalau tak suka, turun!" He said this several times.

When we went to the office to feed back, the officer told us that he has received several complaints about the same driver but directed us to Lorong Kulit where the main office is.

We hope something can be done to prevent this dangerous misconduct from happening again.

I'm sorry you & your family encountered such a rude and uncouth rapid penang driver. I've seen similar incidences occur during my daily trip to & from work using the rapid penang bus service. For those of us who have to commute to & from work using the public bus, we don't have an option and have to put up with:-
1. the long waiting times (sometimes up to an hour) before the bus shows up
2. buses that don't stop for one reason or another
3. angry rapid penang drivers who shout at the passengers & command us to "Masuk, Masuk Masuk!" when the bus is already packed to the brim like a can of sardines
etc.
From my personal experience, the 101 buses seem to be always jam-packed. Those who board the bus from Teluk Bahang/Ferry Terminal are the luckiest. By the time the bus arrives at Tanjung Tokong/past Komtar, there isn't a vacant seat left, and sometimes, there isn't standing room as well. What an ordeal we have to go through every single day! Already feel exhausted just waiting & standing in the bus during the journey... all these before work starts!! I feel sorry for the elderly folk who have to put up with such nonsense!!
