I’m Desmond Yap from Kuala Lumpur. I would like to raise your attention for the unfair practice made by Big Apple Donuts & Coffee.
On Saturday (31st December 2011), I visited Big Apple Donuts & Coffee in Alpha Angle (Jusco Wangsa Maju), Kuala Lumpur (“the shop”). I had been told by the crew member that I can enjoy the privilege of a box of 12-pieces donuts for free if I returned my BA365 member card to them within the whole month of January 2012 as the card is only valid until 31st December 2011. According to crew in the shop, they said this is a privilege for all BA365 member card with no hidden rules and regulations.
On the next day (Sunday, 1st January 2012), I paid a visit to the shop and confirmed with one of the crew in the shop that I can enjoy the privilege before I chose my donuts. She replied me with a confirmed answer, so I proceed to choose my donuts. However, when I was on the way to choose my remaining donuts, she told me I can’t enjoy the privilege suddenly. Besides, I had been told by another crew of the shop a totally different story from the first one that I heard on the previous day. He said the privilege is only valid for those who purchased the BA365 member card on June 2011 to December 2011. I argued with the crews there and claimed that the crew said a totally different story to me. He was just not allowed me to enjoy the privilege with the reason stated above. I was embarrassed at that time as many customers watched our argument in the shop.
I know the shop has the rights to give the privilege to certain group of members, but if they are not intended to give the privilege to all the members of BA365 member card, why don’t they just tell me the truth at the first time instead of lying me the privilege will be given to all the members with no hidden rules and regulations?
I hope Big Apple Donuts & Coffee can give me a clear explanation about this issue and the reply from them is much appreciated. Thanks.
