I have paid full payment to the agency to employ a Cambodian maid last year July 2010. 3 months after the submission, the agency manage to get me a maid but I was not happy with the service so after 3 days, I decided and informed the agency that I want to employ/change a new maid. After I sent the maid back to the agency, I was given a catalog to choose another maid.
I was told that I need to wait for 2 to 3 months in order for them to complete the documents and to get the maid to Malaysia.
After 9 months of waiting and I have lost all my patience, I talked to Jasmine again and she told me I can get my deposit back and cancel the employment request. I have been calling her frequently since then to check when I can get the deposit back. In fact, Jasmine did not answer my calls. I had to try calling her using another person's cellphone to get hold of her. She said that she is angry for us calling her to rush on the process of the returning the deposit and that is also why she chose not to answer my calls.
It has been a year now. There are no news from the agency whether I will be getting back my deposits (RM 3950 as she promised me). The last time I spoke to her, she gave me the excuse that the accounting department of the agency have not issue the cheque yet and told me to wait until the further notice. Maybe half a month or so.
Her attitude was extremely rude. I told Jasmine that I can call the accounting department or talk to the boss directly but she refuse to provide me the number.
I even told her that I will log a complain regarding this issue, she reacted very calm and told us that we could go ahead as there is nothing she can do if I chose not to wait for the money to be return.
As for now, I would like know how long do I have to wait in order for me to get my deposits back as it is not a small amount.
Jasmine is the third person to follow up on my case and she is very rude and also the one who promised that I can get my deposit back.
