I used to visit this department store almost at least once in a week for my household grocery supply. But since last 2 week, that will be my last visit, as the security prohibited customer with laptop backpack to access the can food department. In fact, before that we have entered the can food department many time without any issue, and also there is no sign or notes mentioned that no backpack is allowed. We also saw some other folks with backpack inside the department store, seem to me like double standard. We went there just right after working hour, and the Gama management did not understand that the laptop contained company’s sensitive confidential information, in case any theft or lost cases, who is going to bear the consequences? (although there is designated area to keep). With the current competition market, still having the old mindset of management or control, close is matter of time. Some other giant company like Tesco, Jusco, Sunshine and etc also does not have this type of policies. I even called the management to spell out my concern, but seem like the “manager” is avoiding and not get back to me. They are not practicing listen to customer policies, not sure how long they can stay in this competition markets. From frustrated customer.
